October 9, 2014We are committed to helping our local communities grow. In Elizabethtown, Indiana, citizens have taken on a five-year Environmental Challenge to revitalize their town. With 500 residents, 150 being children, it is an important goal to provide a cleaner, safer and healthier environment for the residents of Elizabethtown, including a safe playground. To help meet this goal, Premier Companies, in conjunction with the Land O’Lakes Foundation, donated $4,500 toward the Environmental Challenge Playground Build.
In December 2013, Elizabethtown was awarded a $15,000 grant from KaBoom to build a new playground. KaBoom is dedicated to creating play spaces in communities across America. To receive the grant, the town was required to raise $9,000. They raised $27,000 in six weeks, our donation among that total. The new playground was put up with the help of volunteers at an old-fashioned “barn raising” on May 9 and was dedicated June 8 with the children blowing bubbles over the playground in celebration. The sounds of children laughing and playing can be heard throughout the Elizabethtown community.
Premier is pleased to support our local communities.
