COMMUNITY

Going All-in For Our Communities

Our cooperative and employees take tremendous pride in caring for and supporting our communities, which is why “Community” is one of our six core values.
We give time, money and advocacy for a wide range of causes that make our communities such a special place to live and work.

Here are just a few examples of organizations and causes we support:

• 4-H, donating more than $50,000 annually across our trade territory
• FFA and other causes benefiting rural youth, providing scholarships to help students attend conferences and supporting a program to deliver meals around Christmas
• Fueling Freedom. $0.50 of every gallon pumped during this yearly event is donated back to the Indiana National Guard Family Readiness Group.
• Volunteer fire departments and emergency response teams through first-responder training for grain entrapment and other hazardous situations. We also donate equipment, such new radios and fire-retardant clothing
• Boys and Girls Clubs and YMCAs
• Food pantries and food banks, and our donations are matched by Land O’Lakes Cooperative to help purchase food that’s needed but was not donated by others
• Adult and youth leadership programs
• Cops & Kids programs, where local police members take underprivileged kids to shop for school supplies and clothing at Christmas time
• A dyslexia program at local schools so teachers can be trained to recognize this reading disorder
• Habitat for Humanity, sending employees to the state fair to help build a home and donating dollars
• The Anchor House in Seymour, IN, which is a family assistance center
• Organizations to help rural families raise children with special needs
• Ivy Tech Community College Ag Program in Columbus, IN, and its mobile agriculture classroom
• Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana backpacks for kids’ program, providing food for kids on the weekends
• Fueling the Cure, donating $1 for each propane delivery. This money goes into an endowment at The Ohio State University to help find a cure for cancer
• Distinguished young women programs
