Welcome A&M Oil Customers!
August 2, 2021We Are Premier!
August 23, 2021We’ve talked a lot about propane safety, and that’s because our customers’ safety and security when utilizing Premier Energy products is important to us! One of the key preventative measures for propane safety is to have a safety check done on your equipment regularly. Premier has qualified staff that provide these checks for all of our customers to ensure their equipment is functioning properly and safely and to give them peace of mind.
So, what goes into these safety checks? Here is what you can expect from our team.
Safety Check Process
As a Premier customer, you can rely on regular safety checks for your propane equipment. Additionally, you can schedule a safety check with us at any time if you notice something out of the ordinary, or update any appliances or equipment that utilize propane.
When your technician comes out to do your safety inspection, make sure to mention any important information about your system since the last safety check before they get started. Important information could include the following:
- Changes to the system
- Appliance installations or removals
- Construction or maintenance work
- Unusual smells or signs of gas leak
The technician will then conduct their inspection based on the equipment you have and any past or current issues you have discussed with them. Safety inspections include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Review of the container, regulators, and outdoor piping
- Leak check of the piping system and propane appliances
- Checking safety controls
- Checking the operating pressures and adjust if necessary
- Replacing worn-out or missing safety stickers
- Inspecting venting regulators and bonding
- Provide a corrective action plan to keep equipment in good working order
Don’t hesitate to talk with your technician about what they are looking for; it will help you better understand how to spot an issue in the future. Another important step is to ask for safety information that you can review with your family. The better prepared you and your family are, and the more information you have about how your system should be working, the safer you will all be!

Benefits of Having Safety Checks
Aside from the obvious – keeping your home and family safe from potential issues caused by faulty equipment – there are many benefits to having your propane system regularly inspected. Getting these inspections will ensure your propane system and appliances are running as efficiently as possible. This could help conserve fuel and potentially save you some money. An added benefit of ensuring your equipment is running efficiently is you are less likely to experience an interruption in your heating during the cold winter months. This will also allow all of your appliances that utilize propane to continue working properly when you need them.
Regular inspections keep your family safe and comfortable year-round. Call Premier today to set up your propane service or schedule a safety check!
