They pride themselves on being able to serve our customer base timely and professionally, and leave them feeling comfortable and confident in their propane system. For a deeper look into our service department, we asked Service Technician Brennan Gilbert a few questions.
How long have you been with Premier, and what is your role?
I have been with Premier Energy now for 7 years in September as a Service Technician for the propane department. My responsibility is to take care of anything from LP tank setting and service installation, to system leak checks and maintenance.
Can you briefly describe the process and turn around time of a service request?
The turnaround time for each job varies depending on the extent of the installation. Some installations requiring lengthy line runs and multiple regulators can take a majority of the day but for the most part a simple residential installation only takes a couple of hours. No one job is the same. The same goes for leak checks. If there are no regulators to change out and no leaks to repair, a simple leak check can be done in under an hour. But no matter the workload, I never rush safety.
What are common issues you see customers having/calling about?
The most common issue that customers call in about is the possibility of them smelling propane, although this is sometimes a false alarm. There are many things that can have or cause a strange smell that most people may think is LP. But no matter what, my focus is to arrive at the location to ensure the safety of every customer. If by chance there is an issue, my goal is to fix the problem and leave without doubt that the problem was resolved.
Can you give me an example of a successful service call you went on where you went above and beyond for your customer?
I have serviced too many locations to pinpoint one example but with every customer my goal is to go above and beyond to ensure them that things have been installed professionally and safely.
What is your number one tip for propane customers to keep their propane system/appliances working great year round?
The number one tip that I could give any customer to ensure things are safe from our perspective is to give us a call if anything on the system is replaced or repaired, and never second guess if you believe you smell propane. It’s always better to be safe than sorry.
What is your favorite part of working for Premier?
What I love the most about working for Premier are the employees and customer base that I am blessed to work around. Everyone here loves what they do and has made this more than just a job, but a career with a bright future. We all work together with the same goal in mind, and the management is very family oriented. I am happy to go to work every morning and have no plans of ever stepping away.
