Drew Allen, a member of Premier’s energy sales team, sat down to talk with us about his role, what makes Premier Energy unique, and why he chose to join the company.
Q: Thanks for sitting down with us today, Drew! To get us started, can you share a little more about your position at Premier?
DA: Currently, I am a part of the sales team at Premier Energy. In this role, I seek new fuel, oil, and grease business in our trade territory while also managing relationships with our current customers. Through building and maintaining these relationships, I am able to gain a deep understanding of our customers’ needs to ensure Premier is doing all we can to provide the highest quality of products and services.

Q: Why did you choose to join the Premier team?
DA: Before joining the Premier team, I was serving my community in law enforcement and I realized I was ready for a career change. I had heard of Premier before and saw the opportunity to join an organization that would encourage me to learn different skill sets within the company. Premier also offers internal advancement opportunities while allowing me to balance work and family life. It has been over ten years since I chose to join the Premier team and I am so glad I did.
Q: What does a typical day look like for you?
DA: My typical day varies pretty regularly since I spend a lot of time meeting with customers to ensure they are being heard and their needs are met. I try to have a couple office days with the other three days being on the road. I’m not much of an office guy, so if I can be out meeting new customers and earning their business or helping current customers I prefer to be doing that.
Q: What is the most rewarding part of your job?
DA: I would have to say the most rewarding part about my job is being able to learn on a daily basis and apply that knowledge to help current and future customers.
