Propane Safety, Summer Fill Savings & Reliable Local Supply: Why Premier Energy Is the Smart Choice
August 14, 2025Huntingburg and Seymour, Ind. (August 13, 2025) – Following a joint meeting on July 24 and official vote on August 12, the Boards of Directors for Superior Ag and Premier Companies collectively announced today that they will be entering into an exploration process around unifying their farmer-owned cooperatives. Both independently successful, this decision didn’t come out of a place of necessity, but instead from a strategic position of commitment to innovation and even deeper value for their farmer-members.
Both cooperatives have strong legacies in the agricultural landscape of Indiana and the surrounding states. As the marketplace continues to change, both feel that it is important to stay at the forefront and assess how they can best serve their members now and in the future. Simply, it represents an agreement to participate in an open, thorough, and good-faith exploration of whether unification could strengthen our members’ interests, operational capabilities, and long-term sustainability.
