October 27, 2025When it comes to keeping your home warm during the cold months, heating oil systems offer a combination of comfort, safety, and efficiency that’s hard to beat. Heating oil provides steady, reliable warmth while meeting today’s high environmental standards.
Premier Energy has been helping homeowners heat their homes safely since 1927. With nearly a century of experience serving families across Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and Tennessee, we’ve built a reputation for dependable service, local expertise, and personalized care.
Safe, Environmentally Friendly Heat
Today’s heating oil burns cleaner than ever before, producing nearly zero emissions of smoke or particulates. Many systems are now compatible with ultra-low sulfur heating oil and renewable blends that reduce environmental impact even further.
Heating oil systems are also designed for safety and reliability:
- Heating oil is non-explosive in liquid form, so it’s safer to store and handle than many other fuels.
- With proper tank maintenance, leaks and spills can be avoided, keeping your home and the environment protected.
Convenient Delivery and Payment Options
We know every household is different, which is why Premier Energy offers programs designed for convenience and peace of mind:
Keep Full Program: Never worry about running out of fuel. We’ll monitor your tank and automatically deliver when you need it, so you can stay warm all season long.
Budget Program: Choose flexible payment options to fit your budget. Pay with each delivery, or spread your annual fuel costs into 11 equal monthly payments.
Whether you heat a home, farm, or business, our goal is simple: keep your family comfortable with safe, affordable heat and service you can trust.
Protecting Your Home: Self-Inspection Checklist
To help homeowners keep their systems in top condition, Premier Energy provides a Self-Inspection Checklist for Heating Oil Tanks. This easy guide walks you through simple steps to look for warning signs of leaks or wear before every fill.
Signs You May Have a Leak:
- Soil is saturated with heating oil
- Soil or other surface material is stained
- Vapors are present in the soil or basement
- Fuel is observed in the basement, a stream, an underground utility line, etc.
- Oil consumption has suddenly increased
- Furnace is operating erratically
If you suspect a leak:
- Turn off the tank and remove any sources of flames/sparks near the area
- If odors are in the house, ventilate affected areas, and close off unaffected areas
- Stop or contain the release – absorbent material like cat litter, sawdust, or newspaper can be used to stop the release from spreading
- Keep children and pets away
- Contact your local fire department
- Call us! Emergency line is available 24/7
Regular inspections help prevent small issues from becoming big problems, and ensure your system continues running safely and efficiently. Download the complete Self-Inspection Checklist to stay current with inspections.
