Premier Ag Acquires Bulk Fertilizer Terminal in Southern Indiana

Premier Ag announced today the purchase of a bulk fertilizer terminal located in southern Indiana. The fertilizer terminal is located between Indianapolis, IN and Louisville, KY and positions Premier to more efficiently meet the product and service needs of its farmer-members and ag partners throughout the region. The terminal has substantial storage capacity, including 11,000 liquid tons and 26,000 dry tons of storage.

The terminal gives the co-op even more ways to keep fertilizer moving and adds another layer of reliability for local farmers by adding rail and truck receiving capabilities, which complements Premier’s existing river access.

The local cooperative owning and operating its own bulk fertilizer terminal means that products are nearby when timing matters most. Planting and harvest are busy seasons for farmers, and this terminal helps keep things moving by reducing delays, avoiding shortages, and cutting down on the wait for fertilizer to come in from elsewhere.
