Our business is serving our customers and exceeding their expectations, and we want them to know that our focus is on them and their needs. To help illustrate our processes and how we strive to put our customers first, we asked Energy Operations Manager, Tangody Fewell, a few questions.
What is your role at Premier?
My role at Premier is Energy Operations Manager. I have been in the Co-op system for 23 years this April. I work from the Boggstown IN Location daily. We have three main locations. Seymour, Indiana is our main corporate office, Loogootee, Indiana is a supporting office to our main location and we have a Harrison Ohio branch. We also are partners with Hometown Decatur REMC, we handle all the service and propane, and they handle all the billing and meter reading.

Describe the services you provide.
Premier provides propane service for 20,000 customers including home heat, grain drying, farm & commercial accounts. Our propane team provides outstanding service to all our customers from the initial phone call to the job being complete.
Premier has a system for when the customer calls our main office in Seymour. The calls are transferred to either the propane salesman or me for their needs. For a new customer, our salesman will schedule a time for the customer to meet on site to explain the setup we offer, and the safety and procedures to move forward. He will give a detailed cost to the customer and then schedule the tank set or service work. Our certified service technician will complete his job as requested and every new customer is given a safety brochure with information about propane and a scratch and sniff to know what propane smells like.
Safety is our number one concern for all our propane customers. If the call is a current customer needing service for his current set up, I gather all the info needed and schedule the techs to do the job.
Premier has a 24/7 after hours call center for anyone that has a concern that they may have a propane leak.
What do you feel Premier does best?
I feel that Premier Energy is best at customer service. It is so important to have adequate knowledge for everyone’s needs, and we are customer focused. We truly do treat all customers the way we want to be treated.
I think what sets me apart from others is I like to build a relationship with the customer no matter if it’s propane related or just a general question. I am a Loyal employee to Premier and the customers. I like the end results to make everyone happy. I am a problem solver and communication is key for me!
What is your favorite part about working for Premier?
My favorite part about working for Premier is I am utilized for different duties for the company. I work in one of our Agronomy locations, but I handle propane operations. I get to be involved with the farmers and I have several other duties I assist with in different departments.
