Behind the Tank: Meet Bailey Beickman and Get Ready for Summer Fill-Up 2025
June 16, 2025Each summer, Premier welcomes a group of driven, curious, and passionate student interns to immerse themselves in the world of agriculture. From agronomy sales to hands-on operations, these internships provide young professionals with invaluable field experience and a deeper understanding of what it takes to serve Premier’s growers with integrity and innovation.
This year’s interns come from a variety of universities and backgrounds, but they all share a common interest: learning from Premier’s experienced team while contributing meaningfully to its mission. We had the chance to get to know a bit more about each of them—their goals, interests, and what led them to spend their summer here.
Grant Madison, Operations Intern
Grant will be a Senior at Western Kentucky University this fall studying Agribusiness. When asked what drew him to Premier, Grant shared: “I’ve worked at Premier during the summer since the end of high school. I’ve always been drawn to the people and the culture”.
Jack Cathey, Operations Intern
Jack is currently studying Agriculture Conservation at Wilmington College. This summer, Jack is looking to learn more about the chemical solutions that go into the crops for our customers. A fun fact about Jack is that he is the fourth generation in his family to partake in cattle production!
Carson Darlage, Agronomy Sales
Carson is going to be a Senior at Purdue University this fall studying Agribusiness Finance. He was drawn to Premier primarily for our core values. He connected to a company that is honest about being customer focused and committed to making a positive impact in the community.
When asked about what he’s hoping to learn this summer, Carson shared: “I’m hoping to gain experience working hands-on in the field to gain more agronomic knowledge and make new connections across the company”. When asked how he would describe himself in three words, Carson shared: adaptable, driven, and honest. While Carson thoroughly enjoys his time at Premier, when not learning on the job, you can find him riding four wheelers or watching sports of any kind in his free time!

Katlynn Asbury, Agronomy Intern
Katlynn just completed her freshman year at Purdue University where she is studying Agronomy with a minor in Farm and Agribusiness Management. When asked what interested her in working at Premier, Katlynn shared, “I had heard many great things about this company from peers and met some employees during the career fair and an Agronomy Club meeting at Purdue. I am hoping to gain more hands-on knowledge from what I have learned in the classroom, as well as getting to know everyone and understand their roles here at Premier”.
Katlyn also shared she’s very excited to work with the Solinftec robotic sprayers and meet the team behind them! When asked how she would describe herself in three words, she shared: positive, adaptable, and cooperative.
Reece Wineinger, Agronomy Intern
Reece just completed his freshman year at Purdue University studying Agronomy. Reece shared that he originally applied for the position because, “I believed at Premier I could learn under an experienced Account Manager and earn valuable hands-on experience”.
This summer, Reece is hoping to learn more about Agriculture sales and how a Co-op practically operates. When asked to describe himself in three words, Reece shared: hardworking, kind, and respectful. He’s also very interested in the TRAX department and learning more about what they do on a daily basis.
Justin Bedel, Operations Intern
Justin will be a Sophomore at Purdue this fall studying Agronomy. He is hoping to learn more about the behind-the-scenes work of the Agronomy team at Premier and what it really takes to keep a farm running. He’s also looking forward to learning more about TRAX and working closely with the Account Managers at Premier.

Looking forward to Summer 2025 🎉
Premier’s internship program continues to be a launching pad for future leaders in agriculture. From exploring cutting-edge technologies like Solinftec sprayers to learning the ins and outs of agronomy operations and sales, these students are gaining real-world skills they’ll carry into their careers.
More importantly, they’re building relationships and values that align with Premier’s commitment to customer success and community impact. We’re proud to have them on the team this summer—and excited to see where their journey takes them next.
